  • Enamel hypoplasia and enamel/dentine fractures – using bonding and restorations to save the teeth
  • Using local delivery antibiotic therapy to treat periodontal pockets
  • Linguo-version of mandibular canines – how do we get them to erupt into normal occlusion
David is a leading dental specialist currently based in Melbourne, but travelling far afield to pass on his knowledge to veterinarians and veterinary students around the Asia Pacific region. In between running his successful specialist dental practice in Hallam, Victoria and fulfilling his roles of clinical dentist at Melbourne University and adjunct associate lecturer at Massey University in New Zealand, David is also the veterinary dentist at Werribee, Healesville, Taronga, Dubbo, Adelaide and Monarto zoos.

David's clinical interests include oral health in the domestic pet population, in particular the reduction of plaque using dietary and chemical means; analgesic and antibiotic usage for dentistry; undergraduate dental education for veterinary students; continuing dental education of veterinarians and nurses; and oral biology and dental disease in Australian marsupials.
