Getting the right start to life is crucial in setting up puppies and kittens for the long, happy and healthy journey ahead. Join us with the Nutrition RVN Jess Joosse and Royal Canin Veterinarian Dr. Ben Porter for a fantastic session on how to best support pets and clients with birth and growth. They will talk about common misconceptions and highlight the importance of appropriate and adequate nutrition in young cats and dogs.
Jessica graduated with her Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences from La Trobe University in 2016 and went on to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2018. She has worked in the veterinary industry since 2010 in every role from Animal Attendant all the way up to her current position as Practice Manager, where she manages a small animal GP clinic in Melbourne. Her passion for animal nutrition began as a child, when the family cat suffered from a urinary obstruction, and his lifelong treatment was dietary change - this fascinated her; how diet can literally be life-changing and serve as a medical treatment. Armed with this motivation to improve other pet's lives, she has undertaken countless hours of continuing education in the area of animal nutrition and has implemented a highly successful nurse-led nutritional consulting service in her clinic. In 2020, Jessica started her blog,, to reach more pet parents and help them make informed choices and wade through the marketing when choosing the right food for their pet.
